NTPC Limited has shared the details of its operational achievements for the financial year (FY) 2025-26. The company generated 432.2 billion units (BU) of electricity and added 9,619 MW capacity during FY 2025-26. It added 5,488 MW of renewable capacity in FY 2025-26 across solar, wind, and pumped storage projects.
Furthermore, the company achieved a coal production of 48.65 million metric tonnes (MMT), resulting in a year-on-year growth of 6.22 per cent. The company also traded 46.52 BU of power in FY2025-26. Additionally, in FY 2025-26, NTPC achieved 105 per cent ash utilisation, utilising 109 MMT of ash.
Moreover, as part of its diversified portfolio, the company currently operates over 89 GW of installed capacity, with another 32 GW under construction. It has set a target to reach 149 GW of total capacity by 2032, including 60 GW from renewable energy sources. The company has also ventured into various new business areas, including e-mobility, battery storage, pumped hydro storage, waste-to-energy, nuclear power, and green hydrogen solutions.
