LG Electronics India inks solar PPAs with Hinduja Renewables Energy and Sunsure Energy

LG Electronics (LGE) India has inked long-term solar power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Hinduja Renewables Energy Private Limited (HREPL) and Sunsure Energy. With HREPL, LGE has inked a 9.8 MWp solar PPA to source power for its Pune manufacturing facility. With Sunsure Energy, the company inked a 11 MWp solar PPA to source power for its Greater Noida facility.

Moreover, LGE India will source approximately 32.1 million units of renewable energy annually for both facilities. Additionally, through this, LGE India is expected to offset around 0.61 million metric tonnes of carbon emissions.

Earlier this month, Sunsure Energy secured Rs 6.06 billion in debt funding for multiple renewable energy projects from Aseem Infrastructure Finance Limited and RBL Bank.
