NeuEN Green Energy Private Limited (NeuEN) has secured a contract to supply 10 KTPA of green hydrogen to Numaligarh Refinery Limited. NeuEN is a joint venture between BPCL and Sembcorp Green Hydrogen India Private Limited.
As per the contract, NeuEN will set up a 10 KTPA green hydrogen production facility at NRL’s refinery in Assam. The project includes a long-term offtake arrangement and is expected to start commercial operations in 2028. It will use renewable energy along with storage systems to enable continuous operations and support emissions reduction at the refinery. The contract supports the use of green hydrogen in refining and industrial operations.
Earlier in February 2026, BPCL inaugurated a 71 MWp solar power plant in Uttar Pradesh. The power generated from the solar plant will be supplied to BPCL’s refineries located in Mumbai, Bina, and Koch.
