TrueRE Oriana Power bags EPC contract for 234 MW floating solar project in Jharkhand

TrueRE Oriana Power Limited has secured an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) tender for a 234 MW grid-tied floating solar photovoltaic project in Jharkhand from Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC). The project was awarded through a competitive tender process floated by DVC and marks the largest floating solar project in the state.

The project is expected to produce around 500 million units of clean electricity annually once operational. It is also anticipated to offset up to 400,000 tonnes of carbon emissions per annum. Furthermore, the project also aims to deliver 10 years of operations and maintenance services.

Established in 2013, TrueRE Oriana Power is a Noida-based company with around 1 GW of solar capacity commissioned and under construction. It has also secured over 800 MWh of battery energy storage capacity, with a pipeline of 1 GWh. In addition, the company is expanding its portfolio across green hydrogen, e-fuels, and circular energy projects.
