PFC Consulting floats tender for development of ISTS to evacuate 3 GW of renewable power

PFC Consulting has floated a tender for the development of an interstate transmission system (ISTS) for integrating 3 GW of renewable energy from the Ananthapuram–III PS REZ–Phase–I. The project will be situated near the Urvakonda, Beluguppa, and Kalyandurg areas in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh, and will connect to Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu. The project will operate at 765 kV, 400 kV, and 220 kV.

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work involves setting up 3×1,500 MVA, 765/400 kV and 7×500 MVA, 400/220 kV substations at the Ananthapuram–III pooling station. It also includes the installation of associated interconnecting transformers, bays, bus reactors, and provisions for future expansion. The development, operation, and maintenance of the transmission system will be carried out on a build, own, operate, and transfer basis. The scope also covers providing 35 years of operations and maintenance services from the commercial operation date. 

Furthermore, the bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 319 million. The successful bidder must submit a performance guarantee of Rs 797.5 million. The bid submission deadline is May 4, 2026. 

Earlier in February 2026, PFC Consulting floated a tender to establish a 3×500 MVA, 400/220 kV substation at Humnabad in Bidar district, Karnataka.
