NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has floated a tender for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 100 MWh vanadium redox flow battery energy storage system (BESS) at Khavda Solar Park in Gujarat.
According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work covers the design, engineering, supply, packaging, forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of grid-connected BESS on a turnkey basis. The scope also covers providing all equipment, components, and services necessary to install a fully functional BESS.
Furthermore, the successful bidder will be responsible for providing 10 years of operations and maintenance services for the project. The designed life of the BESS system, including that of the battery, shall be 25 years from the date of commissioning. The bid submission deadline is March 10, 2026.
Earlier this month, NTPC REL floated a tender for the development of a 540 MW wind energy project at an inter-state transmission system-connected sub-station, Anantapur-III in Andhra Pradesh (Tranche-II).
