Exeliq Tech Solutions has unveiled GridX-120, a 120 kW grid-tied inverter test system. It is an automated test platform designed to address the need for a reliable, standards-compliant testing infrastructure for India’s solar inverter market. The features of the test system include a DC source rated up to 1,000 V and 300 A per string. Another feature includes high voltage, insulation resistance and earth bond safety tests. The system is equipped with an AC grid simulator of up to 120 kVA, with voltage and frequency variation.
Additionally, it utilises regenerative AC and DC sources to minimise energy consumption. The inverter test system allows for the verification of key parameters such as maximum power point tracking performance, power quality, grid synchronisation, insulation resistance, high voltage safety and ground continuity, along with long-duration reliability testing. The system has been designed for inverter manufacturers, research and development centres, and certification laboratories.
