NTPC REL invites bids for supply of solar PV modules for 400 MW solar project

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has floated a tender for the supply of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules for a 400 MW solar project in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh. According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work covers the manufacturing, supply, packaging, forwarding, and transportation of crystalline solar PV bifacial modules with a minimum 570Wp nominal Rating of the OPEN category. The modules must be listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM)  List-I (for solar PV Modules) and ALMM List-II (for solar cells). 

The bidders are required to submit a bid security of Rs 200 million. Additionally, the bidder should have manufactured and supplied solar PV modules or solar PV cells of a cumulative capacity of at least 200 MWp, within a period of any consecutive twelve months in the last five years preceding the date of techno-commercial bid opening. Furthermore, at least one of these supply orders should have a capacity of 50 MWp or higher. The bid submission deadline is March 02, 2026.

Earlier in January 2025, NTPC REL floated a tender for the engineering, procurement, and construction of a 250 MW solar project, which also includes a 50 MW/200 MWh battery energy storage system.
