NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has inked a MoU with Assago Industries Private Limited (Assago) for the supply of resources such as green ammonia, carbon dioxide, renewable power, along with other related utilities. The resources will be utilised for the production of 1,000 tonnes per day (TPD) of green urea.
Furthermore, according to the specifications of the MoU, the green urea plant is expected to be developed at the NGEL Green Hydrogen Hub in Pudimadaka, near Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
Earlier this month, NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, announced the result of its 250 MW/500 MWh standalone battery energy storage system auction.
Furthermore, in January 2026, NTPC invited expressions of interest to develop a pilot or utility-scale long-duration energy storage project based on compressed air or liquefied air technologies.
