ANERT floats tender for green hydrogen production from biomass

The Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT), the renewable energy agency of Kerala, has floated a tender for the development of pilot projects. The projects will focus on producing green hydrogen from biomass.

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work covers the design, development, and operation of the project for a minimum period of five years. Furthermore, the selected bidders may also be considered for implementation under ANERT-led initiatives, including pilot projects, hydrogen valley innovation cluster programmes, or relevant programmes of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

Further, according to tender guidelines, ANERT will act as the co-funding partner and provide up to 20 per cent of the project cost, or Rs 50 million, whichever is lower. The bid submission deadline is January 23, 2026.
