PFC Consulting floats tender for 4.5 GW renewable energy transmission project

PFC Consulting has floated a tender to select transmission service providers for setting up an interstate transmission system (ISTS). The project will support the integration of the Krishnagiri renewable energy zone Phase-I in Andhra Pradesh under a build, own, operate, and transfer model. Furthermore, the transmission system will allow for the immediate integration and evacuation of 4.5 GW of renewable energy from projects located in the Kurnool area.

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work covers ensuring that the design, construction, and testing of all project equipment, facilities, components, and systems comply with the transmission service agreement. It must also adhere to applicable rules, orders, and guidelines issued by the central government. 

Additionally, bidders are required to furnish an earnest money deposit of Rs 817 million. The bid submission deadline is March 17, 2026. 

Earlier in November 2025, PFC Consulting floated a tender to establish an ISTS aimed at strengthening the network at the Tumkur-II substation in Karnataka and to facilitate the integration of an additional 2.7 GW of renewable energy capacity.
