BluPine Energy secures Rs 54 billion loan underwritten by Axis Bank

BluPine Energy Private Limited has raised a Rs 54 billion long-term loan from Axis Bank, with a repayment period ranging between 16 and 20 years. The financing carries an interest rate of about 7.7 per cent.

Furthermore, the borrowing is secured against a portfolio of 17 renewable energy special purpose vehicles (SPV), allowing lenders access to operational solar and wind projects supported by long-term power purchase agreements. The SPVs include Solarcraft Power India 3, Solarcraft Cleantech, and Solarcraft TN1. Additionally, the funds will be used to refinance existing debt raised from various lenders.

Earlier in June 2025, BluPine Energy secured a debt sanction of Rs 24.16 billion for its 150 MW firm and despatchable renewable energy project in Aland, Karnataka.

Furthermore, in May 2025, BluPine Energy achieved financial closure for a Rs 3.76 billion green loan from Standard Chartered to fund its 100 MW solar power project in Tharad, Banaskantha district, Gujarat.
