Onix Renewable Limited has inked a MoU with the Gujarat government for the development of large-scale renewable energy deployment in the state. The projects include the development of a green ammonia production facility in the Rajkot district of the state. The facility will represent an investment of Rs 100 billion. The facility is expected to commence commercial operations in 2028.
Furthermore, the company has also proposed Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthan Mahabhiyan Component-C solar projects across multiple locations in Gujarat. The projects will represent a total investment of Rs 4.01 billion and will commence operations in 2026. The company also plans to invest Rs 0.75 billion in underground cable infrastructure projects to modernise power distribution networks and improve system reliability.
Earlier in August 2025, Onix Renewable emerged as the winner of Solar Energy Corporation of India’s green ammonia auction under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition Programme (Mode-2A–Tranche-I).
