Rajasthan Solar Park Development Company Limited (RSDCL), a subsidiary of Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation, floated a tender for the development of 2,450 MW solar projects with 1,600 MW/6,400 MWh battery energy storage systems (BESS). The projects will provide peak power supply at the Pugal solar park in Rajasthan.
According to the tender guidelines, the work of the project has been split into two lots. Lot-1 comprises 2,000 MW of solar capacity along with 1,320 MW/5,280 MWh of BESS, spread across eight plots of 250 MW each. Lot-2 includes 450 MW of solar capacity coupled with 280 MW/1,120 MWh of BESS, distributed across two plots of 225 MW each.
Furthermore, the bidders are required to furnish an earnest money deposit of Rs 1.38 million per MW. The successful bidders must submit a separate performance bank guarantee for the power purchase agreement of Rs 2.76 million per MW to the Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services within 15 days of receiving the letter of award. The bid submission deadline is March 9, 2026.
