EDP, S.A., through its 71.3 per cent-owned subsidiary EDP Renováveis, S.A. (EDPR), has secured a 30-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Consumers Energy Company for electricity generated from a 150 MWac, or 209 MWdc, solar project in Clark County, Illinois, US. In December 2025, EDPR completed the sale of a 100 per cent equity stake in a 190 MWac, or 229 MWdc operational solar portfolio to Prosolia Energy in Spain. The portfolio comprises five solar plants in Andalucía and Castilla y León, with an estimated enterprise value of about €0.16 billion.

In December 2025, EDPR secured a 15-year PPA with an unnamed global technology company for electricity from a 200 MWac, or 279 MWdc solar project. The project is located in White County, Indiana, US, and is expected to become operational in 2027.
