GUVNL announces results of its 250 MW wind auction

Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) has announced the results of its auction for 250 MW wind power projects (Phase-X). Patel Infrastructure and Alfanar Power emerged as winners of the auction, securing 100 MW and 50 MW, respectively, at a quoted tariff of Rs 3.43 per kWh each. Furthermore, KP Energy and Powerica both secured a capacity of 50 MW at a tariff of Rs 3.44 per kWh each. 

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work covers the development of the wind projects. It also includes setting up the transmission network connecting the projects to the central transmission utility at the interstate transmission system level, or through Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation substations at the intrastate transmission system level. It further includes providing 25-year operations and maintenance services for the projects.  The tender for the projects was floated earlier in September 2025.

Earlier in December 2025, GUVNL floated a tender for the development of a 335 MW/670 MWh of standalone battery energy storage systems in Gujarat (Phase VIII).
