Naxion Energy introduces sodium-ion energy storage systems

Naxion Energy has introduced sodium-ion energy storage systems. The systems are designed to address long-standing limitations of conventional lead-acid backup solutions by reportedly offering up to two to three times longer operational life while significantly lowering costs and downtime. The systems have up to 60 per cent lower weight and a compact, modular design when compared to lead-acid systems, thus offering high installation flexibility for residential, commercial and industrial applications. Furthermore, the systems are engineered to operate reliably across extreme temperatures, ranging from -30 °C to 70 °C and ensure consistent backup power. This provides stability during outages and peak load periods.

The energy storage systems are available in 3.5 kW, 5 kW and 10 kW variants with inbuilt batteries, each of which can be expanded to double its capacity. It integrates an inverter and solar maximum power point tracking in a single unit.
