The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has floated a tender for the procurement of power from 500 MW of solar projects. The projects can be located anywhere in Punjab.
According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work covers setting up the solar projects along with the associated transmission network up to the designated delivery or interconnection point. It also includes securing all the necessary statutory approvals, permits, and clearances. Furthermore, the scope also covers land acquisition or leasing, along with establishing possession or the right to use 100 per cent of the required land before commissioning.
Additionally, bidders are required to furnish an earnest money deposit of Rs 1 million per MW. The successful bidder is required to submit a performance bank guarantee of Rs 2.4 million per MW. The bid submission deadline is February 4, 2026.
Earlier this month, PSPCL invited bids to procure 1,000 MW of firm and dispatchable renewable energy on a demand-following basis.
