Rail Energy Management Company Limited (REMCL) has awarded a long-term operations and maintenance (O&M) contract to POWERCON for its 26 MW wind power project in Rajasthan. The project comprises 13 wind turbine generators (WTGs) of Inox Wind, each rated at 2 MW.
The WTGs have completed their initial 10-year O&M tenure under the original equipment manufacturer. Furthermore, as the WTGs enter the second phase of their operational life, POWERCON will conduct detailed technical health assessments, address identified issues, and restore the turbines to optimal performance. This will be executed in two phases.
Phase 1 involves detailed technical diagnostics of the WTGs and unit substations. This will be followed by structured remediation to restore full functionality, ensure the safety circuits are reliable, and stabilise the turbines at optimal performance levels. Additionally, Phase 2 will last for a period of 10 years priortising high energy availability, enhanced productivity, improved reliability, and extended asset life.
