Alfa Laval unveils patented gas-to-liquid heat exchanger

Alfa Laval has launched the Alfa Nova GL50, a highly advanced heat exchanger built on its patented technology. The Alfa Nova GL50 is a fusion-bonded gas-to-liquid heat exchanger made entirely of stainless steel, using proprietary fusion bonding techniques. The technology is expected to deliver significant benefits to key sectors such as green hydrogen electrolysers and the fuel cell industry. It will also support applications such as combined heat and power, cogeneration, and condensate recovery. By enabling efficient waste heat recovery and reducing energy consumption, it enhances overall system efficiency.

The heat exchanger also offers high condensing performance, low pressure drop and maximum capacity with minimal heat transfer area. It is also capable of operating at high temperatures. These features support more sustainable manufacturing processes while helping industries improve energy efficiency and strengthen their economic competitiveness.
