NLC India secured LoA for the development of a 110 MWac solar project

NLC India Limited has secured a letter of award (LoA) for the development of a 110 MWac grid-connected solar photovoltaic power project. The LoA has been secured from the National Capital Region Transport Corporation Limited (NCRTC), and the project will be implemented under the captive mode.

The scope of work consists of generating and supplying solar power to NCRTC under a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA). The supply of power for the entire project capacity is scheduled to begin within 24 months from the PPA’s effective date. 

In July 2025, NLC India Limited announced plans to invest Rs 1.25 trillion by 2030 to expand its total power generation capacity from the current 6.7 GW to 20 GW. 

Furthermore, in June 2025, NLC India Limited announced that NLC India Renewables Limited received a letter of award from Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation Limited for developing three standalone battery energy storage system projects.
