INTEC bags EPC contract for 288 MWp solar project in Azerbaijan

INTEC Energy Solutions has secured an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for the 288 MWp Shafag (Jabrayil) solar project in Azerbaijan. The contract has been awarded by Shafag (Jabrayil) Solar Limited and covers the complete EPC scope. Additionally, the agreement includes operation and maintenance services for the first two years of the project’s operations. The total contract value stands at approximately $117 million.

Furthermore, INTEC Energy Solutions has completed the mobilisation of facilities. Construction activities at the project site are underway, including earthworks and the development of internal roads. Ramming activities have already commenced, and the delivery of solar modules and structural components is currently in progress. 

Earlier this month, the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan signed an implementation agreement with Clean Energy Capital LLC for the evaluation, planning, and execution of an offshore wind project in the Caspian Sea.. The agreement outlined an initial project capacity of 200 MW, with the total planned capacity proposed to reach 600 MW. Clean Energy Capital LLC will undertake research in a designated area for the project development.
