Tata Power commissions 400 kV transmission line for evacuation of 1 GW hydropower

Tata Power Company Limited has commissioned a 400 kV Koteshwar–Rishikesh transmission line. The commissioning will enable the evacuation of 1,000 MW of hydropower from the Tehri–Koteshwar generation complex in Uttarakhand to various northern states and union territories. The transmission line has been constructed in the New Tehri and Dehradun districts of Uttarakhand.

Furthermore, the project was implemented through NRSS XXXVI Transmission Limited, which was taken over by Resurgent Power Ventures Private Limited.  Additionally, Resurgent Power Ventures is a joint venture backed by Tata Power, ICICI Bank Limited, and international investors.
