Athirath Holdings and Telangana government ink MoU to develop 25 CBG plants

Athirath Holdings India Limited has inked a MoU with the Telangana government to invest around Rs 40 billion for the development of 25 compressed biogas (CBG) plants. The plants will be developed across Telangana, and each plant will have a capacity of 20 tonnes per day.

Under the MoU, each plant will use Napier grass as its main feedstock, thereby helping in building a more organised agricultural supply chain. Furthermore, this is expected to create significant rural employment across cultivation, logistics, harvesting, and plant operations.

Earlier in November 2025, Athirath Holdings inked a MoU with the Andhra Pradesh government for Rs 40 billion green energy investment under which it will develop 25 bio compressed natural gas projects in the state.
