Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has inked a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with IIT-ISM Dhanbad. The MoA is for the development of a solar hydrogen–based clean cooking and micro-power generation system for rural households. IOCL will finance the initiative as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts.
A sum of Rs 7.64 million has been sanctioned for the project. Furthermore, the initiative is in line with the objectives of the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
In June 2025, IOCL finalised the levelised cost of hydrogen for the green hydrogen generation unit at its Panipat refinery and petrochemical complex.
Furthermore, in May 2025, AGEL’s subsidiary, Adani Renewable Energy Three Limited, commissioned a 50 MW solar-wind hybrid power project at Khavda, Gujarat.
