AM Group inks MoUs for green aluminium complex and biorefineries

AM Green Group has inked Rs 540 billion worth MoUs with the Andhra Pradesh government for the development of green aluminium complex and biorefineries in the state. Out of the total sum, Rs 440 billion will be invested for the development of a 1 million tonnes per annum (TPA) green aluminium complex. This will be supported by RFNBO-compliant green ammonia facilities.  The complex will be built in Kakinada (Uppada) in two phases.

Furthermore, the remaining 100 billion will be utilised for the development of multiple biorefineries across Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, and Anakapalli. These refiners will produce 2G of ethanol. It will also be used to develop a  180 kilo TPA of sustainable aviation fuel plant. 

Earlier in May 2025, AM Green and the Port of Rotterdam Authority inked a MoU for the development of a green energy supply chain between India and Northwestern Europe via Rotterdam.
