NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has issued a tender for the development of a 1 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar project at GAIL Ajmer, Rajasthan.
According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work entails the design, engineering, supply, and civil construction of the project. It also includes the erection, testing, and commissioning of the project. Furthermore, the scope includes the operation and maintenance of the solar project for five years from the commissioning date.
Additionally, the successful bidder is required to connect the project to the existing mains/ACDB/feeder pillars and interface the electrical loads of the project’s license network/electrical loads. The approval for interfacing the project with the grid/electrical loads must be obtained from the distribution licensee or the Chief Electrical Inspector to the government.
The bidders are required to submit a bid security of Rs 1 million. Furthermore, the successful bidder is required to furnish a performance bank guarantee equal to 10 per cent of the contract price. Moreover, participation in the tender is restricted to bidders who are already empanelled with NVVN. The last date for bid submission is November 24, 2025.
Earlier in July 2025, NVVN issued a tender to empanel engineering, procurement, and construction contractors for rooftop and ground-mounted solar power projects, with an upper capacity limit of 20 MW per vendor.
