NLC India Limited has commissioned a 106 MW part capacity of its 300 MW solar power project at Barsingsar, district Bikaner, Rajasthan. This marks the commissioning of the second phase of the project for which the company has received the commissioning certificate from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited.
The first phase capacity of 52.83 MW of the solar project was commissioned earlier in August 2025. Furthermore, the total capacity commissioned of the 300 MW solar project currently stands at 158.83 MW.
In July 2025, NLC India Limited announced plans to invest Rs 1.25 trillion by 2030 to expand its total power generation capacity from the current 6.7 GW to 20 GW. Furthermore, in June 2025, NLC India Limited announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, NLC India Renewables Limited, received a letter of award from Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation Limited for developing three standalone battery energy storage system projects.
