ACME Solar Holdings Limited has commissioned the first 28 MW phase of its 100 MW wind project. The project is located in Surendranagar, Gujarat, and deploys SANY’s 4 MW turbines. Furthermore, it has been financed by the Power Finance Corporation and was constructed through ACME’s in-house engineering, procurement, and construction service.
The electricity produced by the project is pooled at a 33/220 kV pooling station. It is evacuated to the Shapar substation through a dedicated single-circuit 220 kV transmission line. Additionally, the electricity produced by the project will be supplied under a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) between ACME Eco Clean and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam. Moreover, this commissioning has increased ACME Solar’s total operational capacity from 2,890 MW to 2,918 MW.
Earlier this month, ACME Solar Holdings inked a 25-year PPA with Tata Power-D, the distribution arm of Tata Power, for a 50 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project.
