TPREL inks PPA with Tata Power Mumbai Distribution for 80 MW FDRE project

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has inked a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Tata Power Mumbai Distribution. The agreement is for a contracted capacity of 80 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project. The project will combine solar, wind, and battery storage systems and is anticipated to produce around 315 million units of electricity each year.

Furthermore, the project is scheduled for completion within 24 months. After commissioning, the renewable power generated will be integrated into Tata Power’s Mumbai distribution network.

Earlier this month, TPREL inked a MoU with Bank of Baroda to provide financing solutions for micro, small, and medium enterprises and commercial and industrial customers opting for solar energy.

Furthermore, in the same month, TPREL signed an agreement with Suzlon Group to co-develop 838 MW wind projects.
