Elan Energy secures PMC contract from BPCL for biogas projects

Elan Energy has secured the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) contract for 16 compressed biogas (CBG) projects across India. The projects have been secured from Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL). The order is worth about Rs 300 million and involves setting up new facilities in several states to convert agricultural residue, municipal solid waste, and biomass into clean fuel.

Additionally, Elan Energy will be responsible for engineering design, vendor tendering, execution, supervision, commissioning, performance guarantees, and operational readiness. The company will also ensure consistent quality and timely execution across all sites to establish an extensive CBG production network.

Furthermore, the initiative is part of India’s Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation programme. The programme aims to expand the nation’s bioenergy footprint and generate rural economic opportunities.
