Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) has issued a request for selection (RfS) for the development of 250 MW grid-connected wind power projects under Phase X. The tender also includes a greenshoe option to procure an additional 250 MW at the lowest discovered tariff.
According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work entails setting up wind projects along with the associated transmission network. The projects must be connected either to the central transmission utility at the interstate transmission system level or through Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation substations at the intrastate level.
Furthermore, the bidders need to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 1.3 million per MW. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bank guarantee of Rs 3.2 million per MW. It will remain valid for up to six months after the scheduled commencement of supply date, with an additional claim period. Additionally, the last day for bid submission is November 3, 2025.
Earlier in July 2025, GUVNL issued a RfS to set up 2,000 MW/4,000 MWh standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) across Gujarat under Phase VII of its BESS programme.
