NTPC issues EPC tender for solar project in Jharkhand

NTPC has floated an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) tender to set up a 2 MW solar project. The project will be developed at Dump C of the Pakri Barwadih coal mine in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand.

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work encompasses the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar project. It also includes installing gross and net metering systems, a remote monitoring setup, and a supervisory control and data acquisition system. Further, the existing site meters are to be replaced with bi-directional energy meters. The scope also consists of providing operation and maintenance  (O&M) for three years.

Furthermore, the bidders need to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 2 million. The selected bidders must furnish a performance bank guarantee of 5 per cent of the contract value for the construction stage and 10 per cent for the O&M stage. An additional tranche of the guarantee must be submitted at the start of the O&M period. The last date for bid submission is October 8, 2025.
