Coal India Limited (CIL) has invited expressions of interest (EoI) for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of 150 MW of the interstate transmission system (ISTS) connected solar projects. The solar projects will have co-located battery energy storage systems( BESS).
According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work encompasses engineering, supply, installation, and commissioning of the projects. It also entails providing operation and maintenance services. Furthermore, the scope of work consists of ensuring the ISTS connection at a minimum of 220 kV level and compliance with the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission/Central Electricity Authority codes.
The selected bidders will be responsible for executing the civil works for the projects and providing performance proof of the solar and BESS projects. They must also integrate the BESS to meet the obligation of at least 0.5 MW/3 MWh per 1 MW of solar capacity. The last date for bid submission is September 15, 2025.
Earlier this month, CIL invited EoI for the EPC of 3 GW of grid-connected solar projects on a turnkey basis across India.
