Ceigall India Limited has secured two letters of intent (LoI) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the procurement of power from 337 MW of solar projects. Sanctioned under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0, the project will involve setting up grid-connected solar power facilities at various locations across Maharashtra. This involves procuring 337 MW of solar power through a tariff-based competitive bidding process by MSEDCL. Moreover, this marks Ceigall’s entry into the renewable energy sector.
Earlier in July 2025, MSEDCL issued a request for selection to procure 2,000 MW/4,000 MWh standalone battery energy storage systems across multiple locations in the state under a build-own-operate model.
Furthermore, in December 2024, MSEDCL issued a tender to procure 1,000 MW of round-the-clock power for the period from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2028.
