Engie India inks 300 MW solar PPA with NTPC

Engie India has inked a power purchase agreement (PPA)  for the supply of 300 MW of solar power with NTPC, which is the offtaker of the project. 

Engie India won the 300 MW project through a competitive bidding auction conducted by REC Power Development and Consultancy for the development of a 1,250 MW inter-state transmission system connected solar power projects-Tranche I. The project has been won at a tariff of Rs 2.55 per kWh.

Earlier in July 2025, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned Subsidiary of NTPC Limited, commissioned solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 409 MW across various solar parks in Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat

Furthermore, in May 2025, ENGIE India achieved financial closure for its 200 MW solar power project located in Khavda, Gujarat.
