Kolon Global Corporation and DNV have inked a two-year contract to provide owner’s engineering services for the 400 MW Wando Jangbogo offshore wind power project in Jeollanam-do, South Korea. The project is being jointly developed by Korea Western Power Corporation and Jeonnam Development Corporation in partnership with Kolon Global.
According to DNV, its scope as owner’s engineer includes technical advisory services focused on turbine selection. This includes project management support, tender preparation, bid evaluation, and contract negotiation.
In July 2025, Deep Wind Offshore’s Admiral Lee offshore wind project secured its first electricity business license with an installed capacity of 345 MW. The license has been received from Korea’s Electricity Regulatory Commission under the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy (MOTIE). The project is being developed based on a partnership between Deep Wind Offshore and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power.
