NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), an umbrella company for NTPC’s green business initiatives, has commissioned 49.125 MW of the 300 MW Khavda solar energy project in Bhuj, Gujarat.
Earlier in June 2025, the first part of the project, with a capacity of 142.2 MW, and the second part with a capacity of 32.8 MW, commenced commercial operations.
Earlier this month, NGEL commissioned a solar and wind project in Gujarat. Furthermore, in February 2025, the company inked a MoU with Bharat Light and Power Private Limited to accelerate green energy initiatives and support India’s carbon-neutral goals.
