Torrent Group’s green hydrogen plant situated in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, has been inaugurated. Torrent Power and Torrent Gas, both entities of Torrent Group, jointly developed the project. The project will have an annual production capacity of 72,000 tonnes per annum.
Furthermore, green hydrogen will be blended with natural gas and supplied to domestic households, CNG stations, and industries in the region. Moreover, this marks the first green hydrogen plant in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Earlier this month, Torrent Power invited bids for a 200 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy project, integrated with an energy storage system.
