G R Infraprojects wins transmission project in Madhya Pradesh

G R Infraprojects Limited has secured a transmission project from REC Power Development and Consultancy for the evacuation of power from 2.5 GW renewable energy projects. The projects are located in Rajgarh (1,500 MW) and Neemuch (1,000 MW) special economic zones in Madhya Pradesh.

The scope of work for the project covers the development of a 2×500 MVA, 400/220 kV substation at Handiya. The substation will include two 125 MVAr 420 kV bus reactors. Furthermore, a new 220 kV Bus Section-II will be developed at the Neemuch power station, and the transformation capacity will be increased using three 500 MVA, 400/220 kV interconnecting transformers and the construction of four new 220 kV line bays for renewable energy interconnection.

Additionally, the project will also cover the installation of a 220 kV line bay to facilitate renewable energy interconnection for Purvah Green Power and a 1×125 MVAr, 420 kV bus reactor at Pachora power station (400 kV Bus Section-II). The scope of work also includes setting up four 400 kV line bays, with two located at Rajgarh and two at Pachora power station. It also includes the installation of four 420 kV switchable line reactors, equally split between the two sites, and four switching equipments for the 400 kV line reactors.
