Onix Renewable has emerged as the winner of Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) green ammonia auction under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition Programme (Mode-2A–Tranche-I). Onix Renewable will supply 50,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) of green ammonia to Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals, in Bharuch, Gujarat, for ten years. The capacity was secured at a tariff of Rs 52.50 per kg.
Moreover, this marks the fifth auction in a planned series of 13 green ammonia auctions, under a tender aggregating a cumulative procurement capacity of 724,000 tonnes per year.
Earlier this month, the consortium of SCC Infrastructure and InSolare won the SECI auction to supply 70,000 TPA of green ammonia to Madhya Bharat Agro Products -III in Dhule, in the state of Maharashtra.
