Atmos Renewables has acquired a majority stake in the 316 MW Hornsdale wind farm in South Australia from Neoen. The company previously held minority interests across the three stages of the project and will assume full ownership and control following the transaction. Reportedly, the settlement is expected in the latter half of 2025, subject to customary conditions precedent. The wind farm has been operational since 2017. It has been delivering clean energy to the ACT Government through a long-term feed-in tariff arrangement.
Atmos Renewables is an Australian renewable energy company. The company has ownership stakes in more than 1.9 GW of operating and under-construction wind, solar, and energy storage assets spread across 18 projects, along with a substantial pipeline of future developments in these sectors.
In June 2025, Atoms Renewables reached financial close on the 100 MW/400 MWh Merredin BESS project in Western Australia, co-developed with Nomad Energy to provide four hours of dispatchable storage.
