Vestas bags 274 MW wind order in Canada

Vestas has received a 274 MW order from EDF Power Solutions North America for the Madawaska wind project in Québec, Canada. The order includes the supply of 25 EnVentus V162-6.0 MW wind turbines and 20 EnVentus V162-6.2 MW wind turbines. Furthermore, the agreement covers a 10-year active output management 5000 service contract. 

Delivery of the turbines is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026, with commissioning scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027. Additionally, as part of the supply arrangement, EDF Power Solutions and Vestas have partnered with Québec-based Marmen as the tower supplier.

In March 2025, Vestas won a 495 MW wind turbine order from Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) for the Fengmiao I offshore wind project in Taiwan. Vestas designs, manufactures, installs, and services onshore and offshore wind turbines globally. The company has installed more than 190 GW of wind turbines across 88 countries.
