Oriana Power wins SECI’s green ammonia auction

Oriana Power has won Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) third green ammonia auction to supply 60,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) of green ammonia under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition programme (Mode-2A-Tranche-I). Oriana Power quoted a tariff of Rs 52.25 per kg to win the auction. The green ammonia will be supplied to Madhya Bharat Agro Products in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, for 10 years.

Furthermore, Oriana Power is required to establish production facilities to supply green ammonia to SECI and secure all approvals and permits, including those for land. It must ensure production, storage, and delivery to the delivery point. Additionally, this is the third in a planned series of 13 green ammonia auctions, under a tender aggregating a cumulative procurement capacity of 724,000 tonnes per year.

Earlier this month, NTPC Renewable Energy won SECI’s auction to supply 70,000 TPA of green ammonia to Krishana Phoschem in Meghnagar, Madhya Pradesh, for ten years. Earlier in July 2025, ACME Cleantech Solutions won SECI’s auction to supply 75,000 TPA of green ammonia to 12 fertilizer plants under the same tranche.
