Tata Power-DDL and MagnaYuma Private Limited join forces for battery swapping stations in Delhi

Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL) has inked a MoU with M/s Magna Yuma Private Limited for augmenting and setting up electric vehicle (EV) battery swapping stations across its operational areas. Under the agreement, Tata Power-DDL will provide dedicated space for establishing battery swapping stations, while Magna Yuma Private Limited will oversee the design, procurement, installation, and maintenance of these stations.

Furthermore, the collaboration seeks to build a robust EV ecosystem focused on commercial electric two-wheelers, especially in the gig economy. The initiative, through the combined expertise of both companies, aims to speed up the adoption of sustainable transport solutions, curb pollution, and enhance income opportunities for gig workers and delivery partners in the city.

Earlier in April 2025, Kazam partnered with Yuma Energy, a joint venture between Magna International and Yulu Bikes, to integrate battery-swapping units into its existing park & charge hubs across India. The integration is aimed at improving operational efficiency for commercial EV drivers who rely on timely battery replacements to maintain uninterrupted services.
