SAEL commissions 50 MW solar project in Maharashtra

The Sustainable and Affordable Energy for Life (SAEL) Industries Limited, through its subsidiary Solar RE Power, has commissioned a 50 MW ground-mounted solar power project in the Beed district of Maharashtra. The project is equipped with TOPCon bifacial modules, designed to deliver high energy yields. Additionally, it is backed by a 25-year power purchase agreement with the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited.

The project is expected to generate over 100 million GWh of clean electricity annually. It forms part of SAEL’s broader portfolio, which includes over 6.7 GW of solar independent power producer assets across India.

Earlier this month, SAEL announced plans to set up an integrated solar manufacturing facility in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, with a total investment of Rs 82 billion and an annual capacity of 5 GW each for solar cell production and module assembly.
