Cummins India Limited has introduced its new battery energy storage systems (BESSs) to strengthen renewable energy integration and grid stability across the country. The systems are offered in modular and scalable configurations of 10 foot and 20 foot containers, delivering energy outputs ranging from 200 kWh to 2 MWh. Each unit integrates lithium ferrophosphate battery technology for high cycle life, safety and resistance to thermal runaway. An integrated liquid cooling system maintains optimal battery temperature, thereby improving performance.
Additionally, the BESS units feature complete AC output integration and plug-and-play functionality for faster transportation and installation. The design also includes a three-tier fire safety system, meeting international operational and safety certifications. The products are backed by Cummins’ nationwide service network for long-term customer support.
