DOMINION has finalised the sale of six solar parks in the Dominican Republic. The company has sold 80 per cent of its ownership in the solar parks. It will continue to retain the remaining 20 per cent share for the next three years. The value of the transaction is over $375 million.
The portfolio has a combined capacity of 321 MWp and has long term power purchase agreements in place. Furthermore, the deal was inked with funds managed by Pioneer Funds and JMMB Funds. GP Capital Partners SRL advised on the deal which will generate a cash inflow of $102 million, of which $82 million will be received in 2025.
Earlier in January 2025, DOMINION inked an agreement with EQUITA Capital for the investment in four photovoltaic projects. Two of these projects will be situated in Sicily while the other two will be in Basilicata. The projects will have a total combined capacity of 74 MW.
