Zelestra has commenced commercial operations at the Gorbea solar plant in Rajasthan. The solar plant has a capacity of 435 MWdc and was delivered in under eight months. The project is backed by a 25-year power purchase agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and will generate 755 GWh of clean energy annually.
The solar project supplies clean energy to SECI for on-grid distribution and is expected to power approximately 128,000 Indian households. Furthermore, the project supported over 800 jobs during its construction phase. Zelestra has a pipeline of 5.4 GW of clean energy projects in India, out of which 1.7 GW is already contracted with customers.
In March 2025, Zelestra secured a contract from SJVN Limited to develop, own, and operate a firm and dispatchable renewable energy project in Solapur, Maharashtra. The project integrates 250 MW DC solar, 180 MW wind, and a 90 MWh battery energy storage system, with operations expected to begin in 2027.
