Longi launches 700 W back-contact solar panel

Longi has launched a new high-efficiency solar module built on its proprietary hybrid interdigitated back-contact (HIBC) crystalline silicon cell technology. It is based on a full-size silicon wafer. The module delivers 700 W power output, with a power density of 259 W per square metre. The module’s dimensions are 2,382 mm x 1,134 mm. Additionally, it features a temperature coefficient of -0.24 per cent per °C, and has a module efficiency of 25.9 per cent. The HIBC cells used in the product incorporate both low- and high-temperature passivation on the front surface and integrate a cross-linked polymer matrix that acts as an advanced moisture barrier. The module also reportedly includes a one-line welding structure in its wafer design to improve resistance against microcracks.
